Each Paper Is Built With The SEAG Specification In Mind And Contains:

Section 1 – The English Main Test (16 questions)

This is when the 40 minutes test starts and the first 16 questions will be testing English. SEAG follows a very specific format and this is replicated in the Gorilla Test Papers to ensure the child is very familiar with the structure and test expectation.

It includes:

– Q1-Q3: 3 Punctuation Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q4-Q6 : 3 Grammar Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q7-Q9: 3 Spelling Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q10-Q16: Comprehension with 4 Questions with multiple choice answers and then a further 3 Questions with free response answers.

Section 2 – The Maths Main Test (14 questions)

This section flows from the English Main Test and is included within the 40 minutes allocated to complete the SEAG half paper.

The maths section is more broad and is not broken down into sections (unlike the English) and includes:

– Q17-Q27: 11 Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q28-Q30: 3 Questions (free response answers)

Answer Sheet

The Answer Sheet provided is exactly what the child will experience during the SEAG Main Test but with less questions as it is a half test.

The information at the top (their name, details and school name) will be pre-completed by GL so there’s no need to worry about that.

All multiple choice answers have 5 possible options.

This is perfect practice for the child.

Worked Solutions

This is where Gorilla Test Papers really stand out from the crowd as each answer is explained to the parents so they can help their child learn and develop from doing tests, and not just getting a score.
