Each Paper Is Built With The SEAG Specification In Mind And Contains:

Section 1 – The Practice Test

These practice questions are done before the main test, just to settle the child and to get them into the way of thinking. On the SEAG test-day, the child will be given 15 minutes to complete these questions (before the 60mins clock starts) but they don’t go towards their overall score.

It includes:

– 5 English questions (4 multiple choice and 1 free response answers)
– 5 Maths questions (3 multiple choice and 2 free response answers)

Section 2 – The English Main Test (28 questions)

This is when the 60 minutes test starts and the first 28 questions will be testing English. SEAG follows a very specific format and this is replicated in the Gorilla Test Papers to ensure the child is very familiar with the structure and test expectation.

It includes:

– Q1-Q5: 5 Punctuation Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q6-Q10: 5 Grammar Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q11-Q15: 5 Spelling Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q16-Q28: Comprehension with 7 Questions with multiple choice answers and then a further 6 Questions with free response answers.

Section 3 – The Maths Main Test (28 questions)

This section flows from the English Main Test and is included within the 60 minutes allocated to complete the SEAG paper.

The maths section is more broad and is not broken down into sections (unlike the English) and includes:

– Q29-Q50: 22 Questions (multiple choice answers)
– Q51-Q56: 6 Questions (free response answers)

Answer Sheet

The Answer Sheet provided is exactly what the child will experience during the SEAG Main Test.

The information at the top (their name, details and school name) will be pre-completed by GL so there’s no need to worry about that.

All multiple choice answers have 5 possible options and the layout replicates the SEAG answer sheet.

This is perfect practice for the child.

Worked Solutions
